The best shop in jodhpur
If you want to buy nice spices I recommended you can go to Suncity spices the best place to buy spices and teas and 100% pure saffron And very good Masala chai incense, perfume is a very good and nice product
It’s a show and a learning experience
We went in to buy some gram masala and came out an hour later with a smile. The younger brother taught us how to tell the difference between real saffron and the fake stuff they, unbelievably, make from the hairs of coconuts. He was a font of information, in general, and shared his spice knowledge as well as his philosophy of life.
A sweet and entertaining guy, with quality spices, and teas.
Amazing tea and saffron
We ended up at Maharana Spices shop skipping all the Lonely Planet suggested shops and were very happy with our choice.
The owner is a very nice and honest person: his saffron is much cheaper than the one sold in the “fancy” shops in the city center (and is REAL and very aromatic). We also wanted a special kind of flavored green tea that he didn’t have in his shop and he prepared it for us in a very short time – and it was just amazing!
Hassle-Free
We stopped by during the tour of Jodhpur, on our last full day in India. I had some leftover rupees which I wanted to use for spices and the owner worked with me to help me out. Had a great experience and can’t wait to use our Indian Masala spice at home. The store seemed well
organized and the owner didn’t pressure the sale.
Great shop
We had bought a few spices in this place. We have been welcomed with great hospitality and showed all the types of tea and spices also we have been offered great tea. The best thing is that the price is written in the packages and you take a rest from all that negotiation which can drive you crazy.
The feeling is that you want to buy everything. My advice is to go there, try, smell, drink and have a chat with the owner (really nice and no pushing at all ) then you decide if buy or not, but in any case, this is a nice experience
